flickr fun (wk 3, ex 6)

In exploring some Flickr mashups and 3rd party tools, I found some I really liked:

• Flickeur creates an ongoing 'film' by stringing together random images from Flickr, although it's more complex than that, since earlier images begin appearing as shadows amongst later images. Watching it, I found it hard to believe that it was truly random, since my mind kept trying to spot connections between the images...
• Retrievr allows you to sketch an image, and then find Flickr images which resemble your sketch. Their colors and shapes will be similar, but their content will be entirely unrelated. You sketch and the associated images have an URL, so you can go back and look later, or send it around. Here's one of mine...
• Clockr shows you the current time, using various digit images from Flickr.
